International Student Support Specialist

Annie joined Peralta College’s Office of International Education in 2019. She holds a BA in Asian Studies and an MA in Asian Pacific Studies from the University of San Francisco. Annie’s passion for international education ignited when she had a chance to study Mandarin at Renmin University of China in Beijing for a summer as a freshman in college. Upon graduation, Annie interned as a Student Ambassador for the United States Pavilion at the 2010 World Exposition in Shanghai and later worked as a U.S. college admissions consultant in Guangzhou for one year. Prior to working for Peralta, Annie worked as the Program Director for a non-profit international high student exchange organization and has helped hundreds of international high school students study in the United States. In her free time, she likes to go to K-pop concerts and travel overseas. She is an avid learner and enjoys studying about different countries, personal finance, and real estate. Her goals in life are to inspire others to make meaningful changes in their lives and to shape the next generation through education. She looks forward to helping Peralta international students reach their academic goals! Annie is also currently pursuing a Certificate in Real Estate at Merritt College.
